Organization.(1') - Call the roll. 2.Warm up/ Review: (3’) * Greeting - T: Hello, I am…........ - Ss greet T and reply: Ss: Hi! My name is…. 3. New lesson: (30’) Teacher’s activities Student’s activities A. PRESENTATION: ( 12’) 1.Pre- teach –vocabulary: - What: gì, cái gì (explaination). - Name: (n) tên (example ) Lan, Nga, Hoa… * Checking: Rub out and remember 2. set the scene: introduce the dialogue. J Andy: Hello, My name is Andy. What/s your name ? K John: My name is John. - T: Models. - Practice: T- Ss 3.Model sentences: Form: What’s your name? My name is …. Meaning: Tên bạn là gì ? Tên mình là Kate Note: What is = What’s B. PRACTICE: ( 10’) T models. T gets Ss to practice in pairs: open and closed pairs. T corrrects. C. PRODUCTION: ( 8’) * Beanbag Circle: T gets Ss to play a game. T gets Ss to stand in a circle. T throws a ball in to S1 and say : Hello My name’s Tam. What/s your name ? - S 1: Hi, My name is (Nam). What’s your name? and throw a ball in to S2. - S 2: Hello, I am (Nga). What’s your name? and throw a ball in to S3, S 4….. - T corrects if necessary. - Choral repetition - Individual repetition. - Copy into notebooks. - SS check vocabulary. - Ss: listen and repeat. - Practice: Ss-Ss; S1- S2; S2-S1. - SS copy the form into notebook. - SS try to remember the form, meaning and use. - Ss listen. - SS practice in pairs: open and closed pairs. S1- S2 / S2 – S1. S1: What/s your name ? S2: What/s your name ? S2: My name is ……. S1: My name/s ……… - SS listen. - SS play game. SS listen and write on their notebooks. 4. Homework.(1’) * SS listen and take note. - Learn by heart vocabulary and the form. - Practise asking and answering. - Prepare unit 1: Let/ s Sing (1) Week :02 Pre. date:1 / 08 / 2010 Period :03 Unit 1 Lesson 5: Let/ s Sing ( 1) I. Each group 4 ss: S1: Hello, My name is……; S2: Hello , My name is…..; S3….and S4….. *Lead-in: Leads the students to the new lesson by some guiding questions in Vietnamese? - SS play a game. - Listen and answer the T’s question. B. PRACTICE: (10p) a) Review the question- and -answer pattern. - T get ss to practice in pairs. S1: What/s your name ? S2: What/s your name? S2: My name is …… S1: My name is………… - T corrects and gives some marks. b) Combine the greeting with the question – and answer pattern. - T gets ss practice in pairs. S1: Hello, My name is……. What/s your name? S2: Hi, My name is…. C. PRODUCTION: (8p) * Dialogue buil: - T asks ss to practice : dialogue buil. J Nam Ba K Hello, Myname ………… Ü Hello, My name……….. What/s…………………...? Û - T corrects. - Choral repetition - Individual repetition. - Copy into notebooks. - SS review the structure. -SS remember the form, meaning and use. - Ss: listen and repeat. - Practice:( T- Ss; Ss-Ss; S1- S2; S2-S1) - Ss: listen and repeat. - Practice( T- Ss; Ss-Ss; S1- S2; S2-S1) - Listening tape "The hello song” many times. - SS work in pairs. - Do what T requires. - SS practice. - SS listen . 4.
