- Techniques: Ask and answer, work in groups, pairs, individually.

IV. Teaching aids: Teacher cards, puppet, text book, pictures.

Teaching aids: Teacher cards, puppet, text book, pictures. V. Procedures. 1. Organization.(1') - Call the roll. 2. Warm - up : ( 3’) - T greets Ss first and encourages Ss to respond. - Hello, my name's Tam. - My full name's Tran Thi Thanh Tam. - I'm married. - I live in Dak Po town –Gia Lai province. * Call the roll. 3. New lesson: (30’) Teacher’s activities Student’s activities * Activity 1: Introduce the letter A ( 5’) - Pont to the teacher card and say: + T: This letter’s name is A A, A, A - Say and draw the letter A by hand in the air. - Correct the mistakes * Activity 2: Introduce the sound /a / ( 5’) - Pont to the teacher card and say: + T: Sound of the A is /a/: a, a, a - Say and draw the letter A by hand in the air. - Correct the mistakes * Activity 3: Introduce the new words (15’) - Point to the picture drawing Alice and introduce: This is Alice, Alice, Alice - Introduce 3 new words: + Take the picture of ant and say: ant, ant, ant + T: Yes, an ant say and write on the board. ant + Correct the mistakes. - Do the same with the other words. - Play the tape. * Activity 4: Introduce the A chant ( 5’) - Play the tape - Look and say after the T Ss: A, A, A - Say and do after T - Look at the board and read individual ( other Ss remark) - Look and say after the T Ss: a, a, a - Say and do after T - Look at the board and read individual. ( other Ss remark) - Look at the picture and read after T Ss: Alice, Alice + Repeat: ant, ant, ant + Guess the meaning + Look at the board and read in chorus. + Read individual. ( other Ss remark) - Look at the board and read all the new words. - Read in chorus and individual. - Listen and repeat. - Slap and read. 5. Homework.(1’) - SS listen and take note. - Learn by heart vocabulary. - Prepare: Lesson 1: A - a (2)
