Objectives. the end of the lesson, students will be able to drill the letter A and words: ant, alligator, apple; learn the greetings and asking some body’s name. - Listening and speaking. II. Language contents: * Vocabulary: - ant, alligator, apple. - Hi, Hello III. Teaching method: Communicative method. - Techniques: Ask and answer, work in groups, pairs, individually. IV. Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, study cards, flipcharts. V. Procedures. 1. Organization.(1') - Call the roll. 2. Warm - up : ( 3’) - Greet Ss by name and shake hands. Encourage Ss to say: Hi! or Hello! Mrs. (Tam). - Ask for Ss to point to the pictures and name the things in period 1. 3. New lesson: ( 30’) Teacher’s activities Student’s activities * Activity 1:Introduce the new pattern ( 10’) - Hand in hand with the Ss and say: “Hello” or “Hi” - Say and write on the board: To greet anybody, use: Hi, Hello - Greet every student: T: Hi, everybody Hello, everybody * Activity 2: Practice ( 12’) - Divide Ss into 2 groups and ask for Ss to practise. - Ask for one S to stand up, other Ss greet. - Ask for Ss to practise in pair. - Correct the mistakes * Activity 3: Open the book ( 8’) - Ask for Ss to open the book. Look and remark the picture. - Introduce the characters: Sam, Ginger. - Play the tape. - Listen and guess the meaning. - Greet the teacher. Ps: Hi, Ms ………… Hello, Ms…….. - Practise in group. G1: Hi G2: Hello -P1: stands up - Ps: Hi (Lan) Hello, (Lan) - Do the same with other Ss. - Practise in pair: P1: Hi P2: Hello (Change the rope) ( other Ss remark) - Look at the picture and remark. - Listen and repeat 4. Homework.(1’) - SS listen and take note. - Learn by heart vocabulary. - Prepare: Lesson 2: E – e ( 1)
