- Techniques: Ask and answer, work in groups, pairs, individually.

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the ss will be able to drill the letter Z and words: Zack, zebra, zero, zipper.

 * Vocabulary: Zack, zebra, zero, zipper.
III. Teaching method: Communicative method.
- Techniques: Ask and answer, work in groups, pairs, individually.
IV. Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, study cards, flipcharts.
V. Procedures:
1. Organization.(1') 
- Call the roll.
2. Warmer - up: ( 3’)
- T check some newwords in previous period. T remarks and gives marks.
3. New lesson: (30’)

* Activity 1:Introduce the letter Z ( 5’)
- Point to the teacher card and say:
+ T: This letter’s name is Z
Z, Z, Z, 
* Activity 2: Introduce the sound /z/ ( 5’)
- Point to the teacher card and say:
+ T: Sound of the Z is /z/:
z, z, z
- Say and draw the letter z by hand in the air.
* Activity 3: Introduce the new words ( 15’)
- Point to the picture drawing Zack, and introduce: This is Zack, Zack.
- Introduce 3 new words:
+ Take the picture and say:
 zebra, zero, zipper.
- Play the tape.
* Activity 4: Introduce the Z chant ( 5’)
- Play the tape.
- Look and say after the T
Ss: Z, Z, Z
- Say and do after T.
- Look and say after : z, ,z, z
- Say and do after T.
- Look at the board and read individual.
- Look at the picture and read 
: Zack Zack.
+ Repeat:
 zebra, zero, zipper.
+ Look at the board and read in chorus then individual.
- Listen and repeat. 
- Slap and read. 
4. Homework.(1’)
- Learn by heart vocabulary.
- Prepare: Lesson : Z – z ( 2)
