Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, study cards, flipcharts. V. Procedures: 1. Organization.(1') - Call the roll. 2. Warm - up: Stand up game: ( 3’) Model “stand up/ sit down” first. Assign each Ss one of the words for /a/ or /e/ T: Stand up if you are /a/. All Ss whose words begin with /a/ stand up. 3. New lesson: (30’) Teacher’s activities Student’s activities * Activity 1:Introduce the new pattern ( 12’) -Use the puppet to present the dialogue. Puppet: What’s your name? T: (point to one’s chest) I’m………. - Do again. - Ask for Ss to play the puppet. T: I’m………. - T ask: What’s your name? - Ask Ss: What are you doing? - Say and write on the board: To ask and answer about the name. Use the moder sentence: What’s your name? I’m + tên ( What’s = What is) ( I’m = I am) - Read. * Activity 2: Practice ( 10’) - Divide Ss into 2 groups. Ask for Ss to practise. G1: Sam G2: Ginger - Ask for Ss to practise in pair. - Correct the mistakes. * Activity 3: Open the book ( 8’) - Ask for Ss to open the book. Look and remark the picture. - Introduce the characters: Sam, Ginger. - Play the tape. - Correct the mistakes. - Ss listen. - Repeat - Ss ask: What’s your name? - Ss answer: I’m………. - Ss answer. - SS listen and try to remember the form, using, meaning. - Read after T. - Practise in group. G1: What’s your name? G2: I’m Sam. What’s your name? G1: I’m Ginger -Practise in pair.( use the real name) P1: What’s your name? P2: I’m……….And What’s your name? P1: I’m……… ( other Ps remark) - Open the book and remark the picture. - Listen. - Listen and repeat. - Read in pair. ( other Ps remark) 4.
