I. Objectives: By the end of the lession ,the ss will be able to Ps drill the letter I and words:octopus, omelet, ostrich.

- Ss learn the question and anwser about name.

II. Language contents:

 a. Vocabulary: - octopus, omelet, ostrich

 b. Grammar: - What is it?

 - > It’s a book.

III. Teaching method: Communicative method.

- Techniques: Ask and answer, work in groups, pairs, individually.

IV. Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, study cards, sub board.

V. Procedures:

1. Organization.(1')

- Call the roll.

2. Wamer up: Greetings: ( 3’)

- Ask Ss stand and in 3 minutes greet as many other Ss as possible.

- After 3 minutes, check to see who greeted the most other Ss.

3. New lesson: (30’)

New lesson: (30’) Teacher’s activities Student’s activities * Activity 1: Introduce the letter O ( 5’) - Pont to the teacher card and say: + T: This letter’s name is O. O, O, O - Say and draw the letter O by hand in the air. - Correct the mistakes. * Activity 2: Introduce the sound /o / ( 5’) - Pont to the teacher card and say: + T: Sound of the O is /o/: o, o, o - Say and draw the letter O by hand in the air. - Correct the mistakes. * Activity 3: Introduce the new words. ( 15’) - Point to the picture drawing Oliver and introduce: This is Oliver, Oliver, Oliver - Introduce 3 new words: + Take the picture of octopus and say: octopus, omelet, ostrich. + T: Yes, octopus. say and write on the board octopus + Correct the mistakes. - Do the same with the other words. - Play the tape * Activity 4: Introduce the O chant ( 5’) - Play the tape. - Look and say after the T. Ss:O, O, O - Say and do after T - Look at the board and read individual. ( other Ps remark) - Look and say after the T. Ss:o, o, o. - Say and do after T - Look at the board and read individual. ( other Ss remark) - Look at the picture and read after T Ps: Oliver, Oliver. + Repeat: octopus, omelet, ostrich. + Guess the meaning. + Look at the board and read in chorus. + Read individual. ( other Ps remark) - Look at the board and read all the new words. - Read in chorus and individual. - Listen and repeat. - Slap and read. 4. Homework.(1p) - SS listen and take note. - Learn by heart vocabulary. - Prepare: Leson 8 : O – o ( 2)
