Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up. - Have students name some food and drinks they know or have learnt. FOOD DRINKS - Answer the questions. What do you usually eat for breakfast / lunch / dinner? What do you often drink after each meal? Pre – listening. - Ask students to look at the picture / p.121 to name the food. a. rice , b. noodles , c. fish , d. vegetables , e. fruits , f. beef , g. juice , h. water. - Have students guess what food and drinks Lan, Ba, Nga and Hoa have for lunch.. While – listening. - Play the tape for students - Have students cross-check their answers. - Ask students to give feedback on the board. - Play the tape for students the third time to check the answers. Lan: b, d, f, g. Ba: c, a, e, h. Nga: a, d, g. Hoa: b, e, g. Post – listening. - Ask questions. What did (Lan) have for lunch? She had beef, noodles, vegetables, and juice. - Have students practice asking and answering about Ba, Nga and Hoa. - Ask students to write sentences about Lan, Ba, Nga and Hoa. 1. Lan had beef, noodles, vegetables and juice. 2. Ba had fish, rice, fruit and water. 3. Nga had rice, vegetables and juice. 4.
