Lesson 1
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1.Ask and answer question s about one’s address.
2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English.
II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS
1. New words : address, lane, road, street, flat, floor
2. Structure: A: What’s your address?
B: It’s 81 Tran Hung Dao Street.

1. Teacher: Power point, text book, chalk, word cards.
2. Pupils: text book, pencil, ruler.

A. WARM UP
Sing the “ Hello” song ( in TiengAnh 3 Unit 1) and remind the characters in TiengAnh 5..
B. NEW LESSON
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Have Ps turn their books to p6.
- Discuss about the characters and the situations in each picture. Who is this? What’s his/ her name? Where’s he/she from?
- Listen for the 1st time: Ps point to the appropriate line in their books
-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines.
- Let Ps practice the dialogues in chorus.
Model sentences:
A: What’s your address?
B: It’s 81 Tran Hung Dao Street.
( orI live at 81 Tran Hung Dao Street.)
( Note: Remember Ss to capital the first letter of a proper name.)

T writes the words in the air, Ps observe and read aloud or write on the board.

- Have Ps to make sentences with them.
B. NEW LESSON
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Tell Ps that they are going to learn to read a story.
- Look at the 4 pictures and guess the contexts. What’s his name? Who’s he talking with? Where does he live? What’s the village like?
- Listen for the 1st time: Listen and follow.
-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines in chorus twice.
¯ Model sentence:
A: What’s your village like?
B: It’s small and quiet.
- Concept check:
+ Meaning: Ngôi làng như thế nào? Nó nhỏ và yên tĩnh.
+ Usage: ask and answer what a village is like.
+Form: Do I say “ What/What’s”
2. Point and say
- Tell Ps that they are going to practice the questions and answers describing a place.
Then identify the 4 different places.
-T introduces some new words: busy,
quiet, crowded, pretty.
- Let Ps practice in pairs. T monitors and helps.
- Call some pairs to perform in front of the class.
3.Let’s talk
-Play a game “ Changing ball”: T throws the ball and ask students about where they live.
+ Where do you live?
+ What’s it like?
+ Who do you live with?
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary.
C. CONCLUSION
-Revise what they have learnt and remind them to love where they live.

- Show the words and sentences:
- Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the words in words and in sentences. Listen again and read in chorus twice.
- Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation.
- Let Ps find more two- syllable words with the stress on the first syllable.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary
3.Let’s chant : Where do you live?
- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.
- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Call 3 pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.
