Lesson 1
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1.Ask and and answer questions about what story/ book someone is reading.
2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English.
II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS

2. Structure:A: What are you reading?
B: I’m reading a story about Halloween.

-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines in chorus twice.

Let Ps look at the book p 56
- Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice saying questions and answers with the correct sentence stress. Listen again and read in chorus twice. Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and say the completed sentences aloud.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary.
- Let Ps find the words which are stressed in the following sentences:
What did you do at the party?
We sang and danced happily.

3.Let’s chant

- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.

- Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.
