Son linh primary and secondary school 2022- 2023 Period 1: Planning date: 10/09/2022 INTRODUCTION A. AIMS OF THE LESSON By the end of this lesson, students will be able to : I. Knowledge and skills - Get to know the teacher the book “I learn smart start”. - Know how to learn this subject effectively. II. Competence:: - develop ability to self- study and problem- solving. III. Attributes: - have positive attitude in English language learning. - build their love for class and school. B. TEACHING AIDS - Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, computer, TV screen - Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. C. PROCEDURE I. Warm-up: Listening to English song. - Ask Ss to listen to a song on youtobe: Chatting: - Teacher introduce himself/ herself then ask Ss some normal questions. II. Presentation: Activity 1. Introduce to text books. - T introduces the new book “I learn smart start”. + Sách Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart start là sách dành cho học sinh lớp 3, do NXB Đại học Sư phạm Tp.HCM kết hợp cùng Tập đoàn Giáo dục Đại Trường Phát biên soạn theo Chương trình giáo dục phổ thông (ban hành theo Thông tư số 32/2018/TT-BGDĐT ngày 26 tháng 12 năm 2018), nhằm giúp học sinh bậc TH đạt được mục tiêu chung về năng lực tiếng Anh: A1 bậc 2 cũng như Khung tham chiếu trình độ ngôn ngữ chung Châu Âu CEFR (A1). 1. ƯU ĐIỂM: - Bám sát khung chương trình của Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo. - Nội dung được biên soạn và thiết kế phù hợp với học sinh Việt Nam, lấy yếu tố văn hóa Việt Nam làm nền tảng xây dựng. - Trọn bộ là sự liên thông 12 cấp độ với i-Learn Smart Start dành cho học sinh Tiểu học (cấp 1) và i-Learn Smart World dành cho học sinh Trung học (cấp 2-3). - Giúp phát triển tư duy, kỹ năng phản biện và đồng thời các kỹ năng Nghe – Nói – Đọc – Viết. - Làm quen với các dạng bài thi quốc tế thông qua các bài tập. NỘI DUNG SÁCH: - Sách bao gồm 8 chủ đề: 1: My friends 2: Family 3: School 4: Home Unit 5: Sports and hobbies Unit 6: Clothes Unit 7: Toys Unit 8: Food - Ss listen and take note. Activity 2: Introduce to learning methods. - Teacher introduces to learning methods. - Mỗi tuần có 4 tiết tiếng anh, cả năm có 140 tiết học cho 2 học kỳ 1 và 2. + Mỗi học kỳ có các em sẽ có một số bài kiểm tra thường xuyên, 1 bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và 1 bài kiểm tra cuối kỳ (Trước mỗi bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và cuối kỳ chúng ta có các tiết ôn tập để giúp các em có kết quả tốt trong quá trình làm bài), bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và cuối kỳ sẽ kiểm tra các kiến thức về từ vựng, các kỹ năng: nói, đọc, nghe, viết. - Nhằm phát huy tối đa chất lượng dạy học các em cần: + Cài đạt phần mền “EDU HOME” vào máy tính cá nhân (nếu có) hoặc điên thoai di động. + Vào phần mềm và “nhập mât mã kích hoạt” (Các em lấy mật mã kích hoạt bằng cách cào lớp bạc có ở trang đầu tiên của mỗi cuốn sách) + Trong phần mền này sẽ có tất cả các tài nguyên cần thiết để hỗ trợ quá trình học tập của các em. - Trong quá trình học các em phải hoàn thành các yêu cầu của thầy cô giao về nhà đồng thời nghiên cứu kỹ bài học tiếp theo. - Ss listen and take note. OBJECTIVES By the end of this lesson, students will be able to follow simple instructions in class. 1. Language knowledge and skills Vocabulary: stand up, sit down, hands up. Sentence pattern: Stand up, please. Skills: Listening and Speaking. 2. Competences Self-control and independent learning: understand and follow simple instructions in class. Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups to practice the classroom commands. Critical thinking and creativity: learn how to respond to each instruction correctly and immediately. 3. Attributes Kindness: support their friends to complete the learning tasks. Diligence: focus on the lesson and work hard to complete all the tasks. Honesty: play fair. Accountability: appreciate kindness, diligence, and honesty. 4. Teaching aids and materials - Teacher’s aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book ,TV, laptop, loudspeaker. - Students’ aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book, Workbook, Notebook. B. Procedures I. Warm up : Greeting - Hello, class - How are you today? - II.Presentation 1.Listen and point. Repeat. (CD1 Track 02) - Arrange the flashcards (stand up, sit down, hands up) on the board to introduce the new words. - Ask the students to listen and pay their attention. - Play the audio (using DCR) and point to each flashcard. - Then play the audio again and have them point to the pictures in their Student’s Books. - Play the audio and require them to listen and repeat. - Help them with their pronunciation if necessary. - Have the class work in pairs. One student randomly points to the pictures in their book, and the other one says the words. Then have them swap roles and continue this activity. (CD1 Track 03) - Have students call out the things they can see in each picture. - Play the audio and have them point to the characters. - Play the audio again and have them repeat the new words. - Divide the class into pairs to role-play the dialogue. - Swap roles and repeat. - Invite some pairs to demonstrate the activity in front of the whole class. Students: - Name the things they see in the pictures. - Listen and point to the characters. - Listen and repeat the new words. - Practice the dialogue with their partner and change their roles. - Demonstrate the activity in front of the class. 2. Point, say, and do. - Divide the class into two teams. - Show a flashcard to the class. - Have Team A call out the command and Team B do the action. - Swap roles and repeat. -Monitor the class and support if needed. -Work with their team to complete the task. -Call out the classroom command for the other team to do the action and swap their roles. -Go around the class and support them if necessary. IV.Production 1.Play Simon says. - Have the students time to look and read at the examples. - Tell them they must only follow commands that start with “Simon says ”. - Model the activity in front of the class. - Demonstrate the game by giving the students different commands. If the command starts with “Simon says ”, students must do the action. If it doesn’t start with “Simon says”, students who do the action must sit down. - Invite one student to come to the front of the class to be “Simon”. Ask them to swap roles and repeat with a new “Simon”. V.Homework Assignment - Require the students to do exercises on page 3 in the Workbook. - Have them copy new words and structure in their Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Notebook, page 2. Ask them to prepare Lesson 2 on page 6 in the Student’s Book. Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to follow simple instructions in class. 1. Language knowledge and skills Vocabulary: open your book, close your book, hands down. Sentence pattern: Open your book./ Yes, Teacher. Skills: Listening and Speaking. 2.Competences Self-control and independent learning: understand and follow simple instructions in class. Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups to practice the classroom commands. Critical thinking and creativity: learn how to respond to each instruction correctly and immediately. 3.Attributes Kindness: support their friends to complete the learning tasks. Diligence: focus on the lesson and work hard to complete all the tasks. Honesty: play fair. Accountability: appreciate kindness, diligence, and honesty. 4.Teaching aids and materials - Teacher’s aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book and Teacher’s book, TV, laptop... - Students’ aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book, Workbook, Notebook. B.Procedures I.Warm up Review the numbers 1-10. - Divide the class into two teams and have them form two lines. - Place the flashcards on the board, showing the numbers. - Call out a number and have the first student from each group race to slap the correct flashcard on the board and say it correctly. The first student to slap the correct flashcard wins a point for their team. + Students: - Make two lines to play this game. - Look at the flashcards on the board. - Carefully listen and run to the board to slap the correct card and read aloud the word on it. II. Presentation 1.Listen and point. Repeat. (CD1 Track 04) - Arrange the flashcards (open your book, close your book, hands down) on the board to introduce the new words. - Ask the students to listen and pay their attention. If the word is the same as the flashcard, they jump. If it isn't, they keep still. Ask them to say the word on the flashcard. V. Homework Assignment - Require the students to do exercises on page 4 in the Workbook. - Have them copy new words and structure in their Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Notebook, page 3. Ask them to prepare Lesson 3 on page 7 in the Student’s Book. Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask the other people’s names and introduce themselves. 1. Language knowledge and skills Vocabulary: hello, goodbye, Tom, Lucy. Sentence patterns: Hello, what’s your name?/ My name’s Tom./ Goodbye. Skills: Listening and Speaking 2. Competences Self-control and independent learning: ask the other people’s names and introduce themselves. Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups to practice asking their friends’ names and introducing themselves. Critical thinking and creativity: learn how to ask their friends’ names and introduce themselves correctly and immediately. 3. Attributes Kindness: support their friends to complete the learning tasks. Diligence: focus on the lesson and work hard to complete all the tasks. Honesty: play fair. Accountability: appreciate kindness, diligence, and honesty. 4.Teaching aids and materials - Teacher’s aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book ,TV, laptop, loudspeaker. - Students’ aids: Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Student’s Book, Workbook, Notebook. B. Procedures I. Warm up Play the Snake game. - Have the class stand up and play the game. - Give the ball to the first student and ask them to begin by saying a feeling. - Then the first student passes the ball to any of their friends. The second friend will name another feeling. - The students who are unable to say the feelings will sit down. The last student who stands up at the end of the game is the winner. - Students: - Make two lines to play this game. - Look at the flashcards on the board. - Carefully listen and run to the board to slap the correct card and read aloud the word on it. Play the Chain game. - Have the students time to look and read at the examples. - Divide the class into groups. - Ask the students to stand up. - Have student A turn to student B and ask the question, then have student B answer. - Next, have student B turn to student C and ask the question, then have student C answer. - Continue until all students have practiced. Have some groups demonstrate the activity in front of the class. V. Homework Assignment - Require the students to do exercises on page 5 in the Workbook. - Have them copy new words and structures in their Tiếng Anh 3 i-Learn Smart Start Notebook, page 4.
