Time : 45 minutes VI. Procedures : Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up - Have students ask and answer the questions about addresses and telephone numbers. 1. Where do you live? 2. Do you have a telephone? 3. What’s the number? Presentation - Ask students to look at the picture - Ask questions to introduce the lesson. 1. Who are they in the picture? 2. What are they doing? 3. What are they talking about? - Play the tape for students - Elicit the new materials ¯ Vocabulary : sure, start, great, see a movie ¯ Structures : Will you be free + time? Would you like to + V? She’ll be back at about six o’clock. - Play the tape for students again Practice ¯ Activity 1: Practice the dialogue - Have students practice the dialogue - Ask students to answer the questions. - Check and correct the answers. ¯ Activity 2: Practice listening - Ask questions 1. Do you sometimes go to movies? 2. What do you say to ask your friend to go to the movie theater with you? 3. Do you need a place to meet? 4. If yes, where do you want to meet your friend? 5. How do you get to the movie theater? - Introduce the listening task. - Play the tape for students twice. - Call some students to read the answers. - Play the tape for students again to check the answers. - Have students practice the dialogue they have just heard, and make similar dialogues.
