III. Techniques: eliciting, questioning & answering, true/false sentences role play.
IV. Teaching aids: pictures for presentation, handouts for practice, cassette.
V. Time: 45 minutes

Warm – up.
- Have students tell one or two things they did last week.
S1: I went to Da Lat with my parents.
S2: I visited my grandparents in the countryside.
Pre – speaking.
- Ask students to look at the picture in the book and answer the guessing questions.
1. What are Lan and Hoa doing?
They are talking.
2. What are they talking about?
Lan is talking about Hoa’s new things: hair, dress,
Hoa is telling Lan about her aunt and uncle, and Mrs. Mai, her neighbor.
- Ask students to close the book, and predict the true/false sentences.
a. Lan’s hair longer than it was.
b. Hoa’s uncle is a hairdresser.
c. Hoa is wearing a nice dress.
d. She did not buy it.
e. Her aunt bought material.
f. Mrs. Mai made the dress for her.
- Explain some new vocabulary: neighbor, hairdresser, dressmaker, material.
- Ask students to give feedback

- Ask students to read the dialogue to check the true/false sentences
