Lesson 1
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1.Ask and answer questions about what someone does in his/ her free time.
2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English.
II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS
1. New words :surf the Internet, do karate, go to the cinema
2. Structure: A: What do you do in your free time?
B: I ride my bike in the park.

- Listen for the 1st time: Listen and follow.
-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines in chorus twice.

- Show the sentences:
- Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the sentences with the falling intonation. Listen again and read in chorus twice.
- Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation.
- Let Ps find more sentences with falling intonation.
2.Listen and circle a or b. Then ask and answer
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks and read aloud.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary
3.Let’s chant
Why shouldn’t he do that?
- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.
- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.
