Lesson 1
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Ask,answer the questions about what someone would like to eat or drink.
2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English.
II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS
1. New words : a bowl of, packet of,a bar of, a glass off, a carton of, a bottle of, biscuits, chocolate.
2. Structure: - What would you like to eat/ drink ?
+ I’d like a packet of biscuits, please.

- The class play bingo game: using the words for lesson 1 learnt. At the end of the game, ps ask & answer questions in the game.
B. NEW LESSON
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Tell Ps that they are going to learn to read a story in which Tony and Phong are talking about their holidays.
- Look at the 4 pictures and guess where they went and what they did.
- Listen for the 1st time: Listen and follow.
-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines in chorus twice.
¯ Model sentence:

B: I eat/drink ...

- Look at the questions and answers with falling intornation.
- Listen follow in their book.
- Ss learn to produce the sound of the sentences: What would you like to eat? - I like banana, please.
How much rice do you eat evere day? - I eat four bowls of rice every day.
- Listen the CD and repeat the words & sentences in chorus.
- Read in groups/ in pairs.
- Give out and check.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary
3.Let’s chant
- Introduce the Chant :

- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.

Project: Tell the class that they are going to work in groups and put words for foods and drinks into the appropriate groups: very healthy and not very healthy.
• Prepare flashcards of foods and drinks and pass them to the groups.
• They should discuss which foods and drinks belong to which groups.
• You can use these words for the flashcards: water, rice, milk, banana, butter, apple, chocolate, bread, sugar, chicken, beef, sandwich, fruit juice, fish, sausage, orange, grape, cabbage and egg.
Suggested answers:
Very healthy: orange, grape, cabbage, fish, fruit juice, sandwich, apple, banana, water, rice, bread
Not very healthy: beef, chicken, egg, sausage, chocolate, milk, sugar, butter
