1. Look, listen and repeat

- Have Ps turn their books to p18.

- Tell the class that they are going to read a story in which Mai and Peter talk about their last summer holiday.

- Listen for the 1st time: Ps point to the appropriate line in their books

-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines.

- Let Ps practice the dialogues in chorus.

Model sentences:

A: Where did you go on holiday?

B: I went to Ha Long Bay.

- Concept check: form, meaning, use

2. Point and say

- Have Ps look at page 18. Then identify the 4 places. Explain some words: Ancient Town, Imperial City

- Let Ps practice in pairs asking and answering questions about where someone went on his/ her last holiday.

- Invite some pairs to speak to check their performance.

3.Let’s talk

- Tell Ps that they are going to practice more with their friends asking and answering about daily routines.

NEW LESSON 1. Listen and repeat Let Ps look at the book p 22. - Show the words and sentences: - Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the words in words and in sentences. Listen again and read in chorus twice. Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation. - Let Ps find more three- syllable words with the stress on the first syllable 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud - Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks. - Ps do the task independently. - Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct. - Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud. T corrects their pronunciation if necessary 3.Let’s chant Where did you go? - Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension. - Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions. - Divide the class into 4 groups. - Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm. C.
