B. NEW LESSON
1. Listen and repeat
Let Ps look at the book p 22.
- Show the words and sentences:
- Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the words in words and in sentences. Listen again and read in chorus twice. Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation.
- Let Ps find more three- syllable words with the stress on the first syllable
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary
3.Let’s chant Where did you go?
- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.
- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.
