- Have Ps turn their books to 46
- Tell the class that they are going to read a story by pointing at the 4 pictures and elicit the questions: Who are they? What are they talking about? How often does Mai have English? How does she practice reading?
- Listen for the 1st time: Ps point to the appropriate line in their books
-Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines.
- Let Ps practice the dialogues in chorus.

- Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice saying questions and answers with the correct sentence stress. Listen again and read in chorus twice. Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation.
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud:
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and say the completed sentences aloud.
- Ps do the task independently.
- Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct.
- Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud.
T corrects their pronunciation if necessary.
- Let Ps find the words which are stressed in the following sentences:
- I learn English by talking with my friends.
- I usually practice listening by watching cartoons on TV.
- I write the words in my notebook.
3.Let’s chant

- Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension.
- Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.
- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.
