Warm – up.
- Ask students to write some school subjects.
- Ask questions
1. How many subjects do you study at school?
2. What do you study in each subject?
3. What subject do you like / dislike to study? Why?
Pre – reading.
- Pre-teach new vocabulary :
- author (n)
- event (n)
- essay (n)
- Check : RUB OUT AND REMEMBER.
While – reading.
- Have students read the reading text to find the main ideas.
What do you study in Literature / History / Geography / Physics / the Language Class?
- Call some students to give feedback
In Literature, we learn about books and write essays.

- Have students practice asking and answering the questions in pairs.
- Ask students to look at the part “Now discuss with a partner” and to find one irrelevant word and odd one out.
- Elicit some more new vocabulary: paintings, famous people, world events, important days, preposition, temperature.
- Call students to give feedback
