Observation interaction Questions & answers STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES/ LEARNING PLAN *Warmer: - T asks Ss to explain why they like and do not like some animals - Introduce the new topic Activity 1: Listening practice (Activity 1: Listen and write.) - Have pupils read 4 sentences in the book ******************************************************************************************************* ENGLISH LESON PLAN : GRADE 4 Son Linh Primary & Seconsary School School Year 2022- 2023 ******************************************************************************************************* - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and write the answers they hear. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and write. Check their guess. - Compare the answer with the partner. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. T give the answer: - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. *Answer: 1. big, 2. fast, 3. funny, 4. Scary Activity 2: Controlled & guided practice Task 1: Writing practice (Activity 2: Look and write) - Ask Ss to identify zoo animals and the possible adjectives to express the reasons - Put ss in groups, write sentences about zoo animals and express the reasons. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment. - Have the whole class read each sentence in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation *Answers: 1. zebras, they are beautiful 2. crocodiles, they are scary 3. bears, they are big 4. kangaroos, they are fast Task 2: Guided practice (Activity 3. Let’ssing) - Introduce the song Why or Why not?? - Have Ss read each line of the song. - Play the recording and listen to the song - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the rhythm. - Call on a group of six to the front of the class and do the actions. The others clap their hands along the rhythm - Ask Ps to practise singing and doing the actions in groups. Monitor the activity and help them when necessary. Correct pronunciation Ss’ errors. - Call on one group to perform the song at the front of the class. (Love animals and protect animals.) - Remind students to go home and review the lesson. - Prepare for the next lesson (Unit 19. Pronounce three-syllable words with the stress on the first syllable 'crocodile, 'elephant, 'wonderful, and'beautiful. 2. Read the gapped sentences, listen and circle the letters showing the correct words filling the gaps. Then say the completed sentences aloud. 3.Say the chant I want to go to the zoo B. LANGUAGE FOCUS. Listen and tick. Then say aloud. - Have pupils look at the sentences and guess the suitable words to fill in the blank. - Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen. Check their guess.
