Warm – up.
- Call students to name some jobs and their definitions.
- Have a student talk about jobs of each their family member.
Pre –reading.
- Ask questions
a. Do you live in a house or an apartment?
b. Which is more comfortable?
- Ask students to read the italic rubric
- Ask questions
a. Who is John Robinson?
b. What’s he doing in Ha Noi?
c. Who is he asking for advice?
- Elicit vocabulary

- Play the tape for students
While – reading.
- Have students practice the dialogue in pairs
- Ask students to answer the questions.
a. The one at number 27.
b. The one at number 79.
c. The one at number 79.
d. The one at number 27. The most suitable apartment is the smallest but it is the newest of the three apartments. It has two bedrooms, a large modern bathroom and a kitchen.
- Call some students to practice the questions and answers before the class.
- Remind students of the grammar note.

Tom is the most intelligent student in our class.

- Have students notice the spelling

- Ask students to make sentences with the adjectives in the table, using the comparative and the superlative
