Pre – reading.
- Have students match the name of the public holiday with picture.
a. Thanksgiving.
b. Independence Day.
c. New Year’s Day.

- Have students look at the letter and answer the questions.

ª Tim writes the letter.
c. Who gets the letter?
ª Hoe gets the letter.
- Elicit the vocabulary:
- celebrate (v)

b. The longest vacation in America is in the summer.
c. The New Year on January 1 is their Tet holiday.
