Educational aim : 2.Teaching aim : By the end of the lesson students can learn how to express what they do in their free time, to invite or suggest someone and reply to an invitation or suggestion. They can tell about their favor and their favorite TV program. II Language contents : 1. Vocabulary : (none) 2. Grammar : (none) 3. Structures: Like + to-infinitive/gerund Prefer + to-infinitive/gerund Would you like to ………? III Techniques : eliciting , brainstorming ,questioning and answering , role-playing. IV Teaching aids : cassette , pictures for presentation , handouts for practice . V Time : 45 minutes. VI Procedures : Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm – up - Ask ss to write “NETWORKS” related to “TV PROGRAMS” - Ask questions + Do you always watch TV? + What is your favorite program? Pre – reading - Ask ss to look at the advertisements. - Explain them - Ask questions + What program is there on at the …? + Where is the ……… on at? + What time is it on? + On what day/date is it on? - Have ss practice in pairs - Introduce the dialogue. - Play the tape for ss. While – reading - Have ss read the dialogue silently. - Ask them to recognize the structure they have learned. - Let them practice the dialogue in pairs - Elicit the sentence ‘Can you make it on Monday night?’ - Ask questions a. What would Hoa like to see at the New Age Theater? b. Can she go on Monday night? Why not? c. Can Lan go on Tuesday? Why not? d. Is she free on Wednesday? e. Is Hoa free on Thursday? f. On what day are they going to the movie?
