OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1.Ask and answer questions about what someone does in his/ her free time. 2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English. II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS 1. New words :surf the Internet, do karate, go to the cinema 2. Structure: A: What do you do in your free time? B: I ride my bike in the park. III. SKILL 1. Speaking, listening 2. Reading and writing skills. IV. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher: Power point, text book, chalk, word cards. 2. Pupils: text book, pencil, ruler. V. Look, listen and repeat - Have Ps turn their books to p18. - Tell the class that they are going to read a story in which Nam and Tom talk about their free time activities. - Listen for the 1st time: Ps point to the appropriate line in their books -Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines. - Let Ps practice the dialogues in chorus. ]Model sentences: A: What do you do in your free time? B: I ride my bike in the park. - Concept check: form, meaning, use 2. Point and say - Have Ps look at page 18. Then identify the 4 activities. Explain some words: surf the Internet, do karate, go to the cinema. - Let Ps practice in pairs asking and answering questions about where someone went on his/ her last holiday. T monitors and helps. - Invite some pairs to speak to check their performance. 3.Let’s talk - Tell Ps that they are going to practice more with their friends by asking and answering about their free time activities. T- Ps model first. Then let them work in pairs or in groups of four. Call some pairs to act in front of the class. T corrects their pronunciation if necessary. C. LANGUAGE CONTENTS 1. New words :break your leg, cut yourself, get a burn, fall of your bike 2. Structure: A: What does your mother do in her free time? B: Shegoes shopping. III. SKILL 1. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to say sentences with the correct intonation. II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS 1.Phonics: sentences stress III. SKILL 1. Speaking, listening 2. Reading and writing skills. IV. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher: Power point, text book, chalk, word cards. 2. Pupils: text book, pencil, ruler. V. PROCEDURES Time Activities Interaction Materials 5’ 10’ 8’ 7’ 5` A.WARM UP : Game : “ Guess words” B. NEW LESSON 1. Listen and repeat Let Ps look at the book - Show the sentences: - Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the sentences with the falling intonation. Listen again and read in chorus twice. - Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation. - Let Ps find more sentences with falling intonation. 2.Listen and circle a or b. Then ask and answer - Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks and read aloud. - Ps do the task independently. - Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct. - Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud. T corrects their pronunciation if necessary 3.Let’s chant Why shouldn’t he do that? - Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension. - Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions. - Divide the class into 4 groups. - Call some pairs to the front of the class to chant and actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm. C.
