OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1.Ask and answer questions about where someone will be. 2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English. II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS 1. New words :in the countryside, at home, on the beach, by the sea. 2. Structure: A:Where will you be on Saturday/ this weekend? B: I think I will be in the mountain. III. SKILL 1. Speaking, listening 2. Reading and writing skills. IV. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher: Power point, text book, chalk, word cards. 2. Pupils: text book, pencil, ruler. V. Look, listen and repeat - Have Ps turn their books to p 30. - Tell the class that they are going to read a story about where someone will be using guided questions: Who are they? Where are they? What are they talking about?. - Listen for the 1st time: Ps point to the appropriate line in their books -Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines. - Let Ps practice the dialogues in chorus. ]Model sentences: A:Where will you be on Saturday/ this weekend? B: I think I will be in the mountain. - Concept check: form, meaning, use.. 2. Point and say - Have Ps look at page 30. Then identify the 4 places. Explain some words: in the countryside, at home, on the beach, by the sea. - Let Ps practice in pairs asking and answering questions about where someone went on his/ her last holiday. T monitors and helps. - Invite some pairs to speak to check their performance. 3.Let’s talk - Tell Ps that they are going to practice more with their friends asking and answering about daily routines. T- Ps model first. Then let them work in pairs or in groups of four. Call some pairs to act in front of the class. T corrects their pronunciation if necessary. C. Look, listen and repeat - Tell Ps that they are going to learn to read a story about Mai’s picnic at the weekend. - Look at the 4 pictures and guess the context with eliciting questions: Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? - Listen for the 1st time: Listen and follow. -Listen for the 2nd time and some more if necessary: Ps repeat the lines in chorus twice. ¯ Model sentence: A: What will you do there/ at Ha Long Bay? B: I think I will swim in the sea. I don’t know. I may explore some caves. - Concept check: form, meaning, use.. 2. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1.Pronouncetwo and three- syllable words with the stress on the first syllable. 2.Ss will be happy, love their school and English. II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS 1. Phonics: ‘seaside They’ll will be at the ‘seaside on Sunday. ‘islands She’ll visit the ‘islands on Monday. ‘country side The boys will be in the ‘countryside next month. III. SKILL 1. Speaking, listening 2. Reading and writing skills. IV. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher: Power point, text book, chalk, word cards. 2. Pupils: text book, pencil, ruler. V. NEW LESSON 1. Listen and repeat Let Ps look at the book p 34. - Show the words and sentences: - Play the recorder. Ps listen and practice the stress of the words in words and in sentences. Listen again and read in chorus twice. Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check and correct their pronunciation. - Let Ps find more two and three- syllable words with the stress on the first syllable. 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud - Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write the words in the blanks. - Ps do the task independently. - Swap their answers in pairs. Go around and offer help if necessary. Check and correct. - Ask Ps to read the sentences aloud. T corrects their pronunciation if necessary 3.Let’s chant Where will you be this weekend? - Have Ps read the chant and check comprehension. - Play the recording a few times for Ps to do choral and individual repetition.
