Week 1 11-09-2022 Period 1 UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN Lesson 1: Part 1-2 I. Objectives: 1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to greet and responding to greeting formally. 2. Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 3. Language focus: - Sentence Partners: - Nice to see you again. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Teaching processes: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance. 2. Oral test: - Check Ss’ books, note books 3. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up -Say ‘Good morning’ to class and introduce yourself. Go around the class and greet to some Ss and ask them Interact to teacher some questions like ‘How are you?’ ....... 1. Look, listen and repeat -Have Ss to look at page 6 -Ask Ss to look at the pictures and elicit the characters Look at the book -Set the scene : we are going to new phrase -Have Ss listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles twice -Listen - Play the recording again and ask Ss to listen and repeat each line in the speech bubbles - Ask Ss to practice in groups of three -Listen and repeat - Call some groups to read aloud - Elicit the structure: Nice to see you again. -Practice in groups of three 2. Skills: - Develop Ss writing and listening skills 3. Language focus: - Sentence Partners: review II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Teaching processes: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance. 2. Oral test: - Have Ss greet and introduce their names. 3. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up: Ask Ss to repeat all of greeting : Good morning, good afternoon , good evening and nice to see you again Greeting 3. Listen and tick -Ask Ss to look at the pictures and elicit the characters -Have Ss listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. Guess the answer - Play the recording again and ask Ss to listen and tick the boxes. Check their guess. Compare the answer with Listen and tick the partner - Play the recording again, Ss check their answers. T gives the answer. Check : 1.b 2.a 3.a 4. Look and write - Have Ss look at the pictures on page 7 - Elicit the characters in the pictures and guess what they are talking about. Language focus: - Sentence Partners: see you tomorrow - Vocabulary: tomorrow, again II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: Students and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, puppets. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Teaching processes: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance. 2. Oral test: - Ask Ss to greet to each other 3. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up: -Ask Ss to repeat all of greeting : Good morning, good - Interact to teacher afternoon , good evening and nice to see you again 1. Language focus: - Sentence Partners: review - Vocabulary: review II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Teaching processes: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance. 2. Oral test: - Have Ss greet and introduce their names. 3. New lesson Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up: - Play Rainbow game: Some Ss make two lines. Two first - Play the game. ones from each team hold hands.
