Warm – up.
- Have students fill in the “Student Registration Form”
- Ask questions
1. How old are you now?
2. How old will you be on your next birthday?
3. Who do you live with?
4. What is your address?
Pre – reading.
- Have students look at the picture and ask pre-reading questions
1. What are they doing in the picture?
2. what is Lan doing?
- Introduce the lesson.
- Elicit vocabulary: invite, have a birthday party
- Ask questions
1. How old is she now?
2. How old will she be on Sunday?
3. Where does she live?
4. When is her birthday?
5. When will the party start and finish?
While – reading.
- Ask students to read the text silently to answer the questions above.
- Call students to give out the answers.
- Call some students to read the text aloud.
- Ask students to look at Lan’s invitation card to fill in the missing information from the text.
- Call students to read the answer.
- Correct mistakes if necessary
- Remind students of the :”WH- Questions”
- Have students look at the questions in 7/ p.27
- Ask students to read the questions and answer them in groups.
- Give students suggested answer.

e. I will drink soft drinks.
f. I will leave at 8 in the evening.
Post – reading.
- Ask students to write a birthday invitation card to their partners.
- Complete the form as required.
- Answer the questions
- Look and answer the questions.

- Read silently and answer the questions in groups.
