LESSON1: FAMOUS PLACES IN ASIA (A1,2)
I Objectives :

VI Procedures :
1/Warm up : * Play game “Networks”
2/Presentation
-Among the countries in the games, which are in Asia?
-Have SS look at the postcard (A 1/ 154) and see the sentence “Greetings from Bangkok”
-T explains it.
-Have SS answer the questions.
Where is Bangkok ? => Thailand
What do you know about Thailand ?
Besides Thailand, which countries and their capitals in South East Asia do you know ?
- Introduce new words and phrases
pilot, fly, region, It’s his job to fly there.
-Have SS listen to a conversation between Hoa and Ba. Ba tells Hoa about his uncle (Mr Nghia – a pilot) and the places Mr.Nghia visited. They listen to the tape and tell which places he flew to?
-Call some SS to tell the places in front of the class.
-Correct mistakes.
3/Practice
-Have SS practice the dialogue in pairs.
-Call some pairs to read the dialogue in front of the class.
-Have SS read the dialogue sillently. Then match the half-sentences to make completed ones.
-Let them cross-check the answers with their partners.
-Call some SS to read the answers in front of the class.
-Make correction.
-Have SS complete the table. Use the names of the countries in the box.
-Call some SS to give the answers in front of the class.
-Make correction.
4/Production
-Have SS ask and answer questions with a partner based on the dialogue.
-Call some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class.
-Correct mistakes.
-Say again the names of the countries and the capitals in the lesson.
5/Homework
-Learn the new words and the names of the countries and the capitals.
-Exercises A 1,2 (workbook)
-Play game
-Work in groups.
-Tell the names of the countries in Asia.
- Look at the postcard and listen to T’s explaination.
- Answer the questions
