Lesson 2: SPEAK AND LISTEN
I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice giving and responding to instructions, develop speaking skill.

1. Warm – Up: (5’)
- Ask Ss to look carefully at the picture then tell them to name as many things as possible.
“used papers, old newspapers, books, cardboard boxes, bottles, glasses, jars, plastic bags, food cans, drinking tins, vegetables, clothes, shoes, schoolbags, sandals, fruit peels, rotten fruits, material, cloth bags”
2. Pre – Speaking: (13’)
- Ask Ss to classify the items into groups and put them in the right row.

- Explain some new words:

- Ask question:
Why do we need to group or classify those things?
[ To reuse and recycle.
3. While – Speaking: (15’)
- Have some pairs practice each exchange before going on to another exchange.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs by replacing the information in brackets with the words in the table above.
A: Which group do / does (clothes) belong to?
B: Put (them) in (fabric).
A: What can we do with (those clothes)?
B: We can (recycle them and make them into paper or shopping bags)
A: Is / Are (fruit) (vegetable matter)?
B: That’s right.
A: What will we do with (it)?
B: We make (it into compose and fertilize our field)
4. Post – Speaking: (10’)
-Ask Ss to write “Networks”.

- Ask Ss to look at part Listen/ page 91.
- Play the tape, ask Ss to listen and check the correct answer.

- Write some dialogues about the things in the table, basing on the mapped dialogue chart.
